A comprehensive walkthrough of GATEletics tools and features to optimize your exam preparation.

1. Onboarding & Branch Setup

When launching GATEletics for the first time, complete a 3-step setup to customize your workspace:

  1. Select Branch Preset: Pick from 7 official GATE branches: Computer Science (CS), Data Science & AI (DA), Electronics (EC), Electrical (EE), Civil (CE), Mechanical (ME), or Chemical (CH).
  2. Set Target Focus Goal: Choose your daily target study hours (e.g., 4 to 8 hours per day).
  3. Set Target Exam Date: Select your upcoming GATE exam date to initialize the live countdown timer.

2. Syllabus Tracking Workflow

Keep precise track of every topic across your engineering branch:

  1. Navigate to the Syllabus tab from the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Expand subject categories to view individual topics and sub-tasks.
  3. Tap checkboxes to mark topics as completed. The top progress bar and branch completion percentage will automatically update with atomic precision.

3. Focus Workspace & Real-Time Clock

Structure your study sessions with scientific timer techniques:

  1. Open the Focus Workspace from the dashboard or navigation bar.
  2. Choose your preferred focus mode:
    • Pomodoro Mode: 25-minute focus session with 5-minute break intervals.
    • Ultradian Mode: 90-minute deep focus block with 20-minute recovery breaks.
    • Count-Up Mode: Open-ended focus timer for unrestricted study sessions.
  3. Real-Time Clock: Review the active time string (`07:44 PM`) positioned right under the mode container. Completed focus sessions automatically update your focus history logs.

4. Notice Board Task Suite

Manage your daily preparation items without losing context:

  1. Access the Notice Board directly on your main dashboard.
  2. Add custom tasks, revision reminders, or mock test goals.
  3. Watch your pending task count update dynamically in the header badge count.

5. Progress Cards & Daily Sharing

Share your daily prep milestones with study groups or accountability partners:

  1. Tap Share Progress on your dashboard.
  2. Customize privacy controls to show or hide total focus hours, completed topics, or streak count.
  3. Generate a high-resolution story progress graphic ready for instant saving or sharing.

6. Offline Data & Cloud Backup

Your study data is private, secure, and always accessible:

  1. 100% Offline-First: All syllabus entries, tasks, and timer logs are stored locally on your device in a Drift SQLite database.
  2. Optional Cloud Sync: Sign in with Google in Settings to enable silent background cloud backups and multi-device sync via Cloud Firestore.
